Blurb:
If there's one thing Mare Barrow knows, it's that she's different.
Mare Barrow's blood is red — the color of common folk — but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.
The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince — the friend — who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: She is not the only one of her kind.
Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors.
But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.
Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?

I absolutely love it and I'm so excited for Glass Sword. Now for the looong wait until 2016. Although I am a little scared of Maven, he's seriously evil. Anyone still with me on Team Cal? <3
Add to your Goodreads shelves now: Glass Sword
The fact that Maven has the capacity to be nice scares me. I mean, I can see him smiling happily while he burns the world. Which means I'm Team Cal all the way! Sigh, 2016 is a long time away, isn't it? Oh well.
ReplyDeleteOh soooo pretty! Cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with this cover! <3

With Maven being the back-stabbing tool that he is, is there even teams anymore? Obviously right now I'm Team Cal but I'm still sad because I had such hope for Maven :( Waiting for this book will slowly kill me, I swear :P
ReplyDeleteHaha, I don't think anyone is Team Maven anymore though I'll admit, even when he was pretending to be nice I was still Team Cal <3
ReplyDeleteHello again! Just thought I'd let you know, I have tagged you for the TayTay tag! Hop you love Taylor Swift ;) see rules here:

I LOVE this cover <3 But I still need to read Red Queen!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Red Queen, but I'm planning to! It sounds interesting. I love Glass Sword cover, though it didn't turn out like I'd expected (I'm expecting some bloody sword haha). At least it match with Red Queen's cover!
ReplyDeleteYay Team Cal! <3 (What other team could there be? xD haha) I'm SO excited for this book and the cover is friggin' gorgeous! =D
ReplyDeleteRed Queen is an amazing book and I feel so proud that it is having a sequel and being made a movie. I really and truly believe that Victoria Aveyard did a fantastic job. And I cannot wait until Glass Sword. I'm killing myself just reading all about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely Team Cal. He's such a bae [for me] ♥
