In the lush heart of Kentucky, horse racing is king, and the Hamilton family is royalty, born to produce champions. Maybe that’s because they understand wildness better than most…

Charming, reckless, and restless, youngest brother Alex Hamilton has a reputation for sweet talking his way into any woman’s arms—and failing at anything to do with the family business. So when he commits to managing their new breeding operation, it’s under one condition: he’ll focus on work and nothing else—no distractions, no fun…no women. But just when Alex has promised to keep his hands to himself, sweet, sexy Kate Littleton gallops away with his heart…

Kate knows Alex isn’t the long-term type—he proved that in a lot of delicious ways when they first met more than a year ago. But seeing him blazing with new dedication to Hamilton Stables, she can’t deny that he’s miles ahead of any other man who interests her. The attraction between them is electric right out of the gate, but it will take an unexpected loss to put them back in the race and headed for a passionate future together…

This book is a standalone novel in a series of standalones.

Review

I previously read West’s Sci-Fi book Gravity and I absolutely loved it, one of my favourite parts of Gravity besides the wonderful writing and the vivid world she created was the romance. I loved the connection and the slow burn romance between the characters, so I was really hoping for West to write a romance series because I would snap that up in an instant. Enter West’s Hamilton Stables series – a southern romance with lots of kissing?
My prayers have been answered!

Wild Hearts follows Kate, a teacher who wants to find a love that lasts and she knows that the youngest of the Hamilton brothers, Alex the sinfully delicious playboy doesn’t fit the bill but can her head convince her heart? Alex wants to be the man he knows he can be, he wants to prove his family wrong, prove he isn’t a fluke and that he can be successful breeder for the family business.

I loved the idea of Alex and Kate being a couple, they have great chemistry, banter and a connection that’s intoxicating-- I just wanted to push them together from the very beginning. They make such a cute couple and you can't help but root for them to make it.

Overall Wild Hearts was such a fun read; I actually finished it in two sitting's because I couldn’t get enough of the story. I can't believe I didn't discover this series sooner and I plan on reading Racing Hearts (Hamilton Stables #1) very very soon. Fans of romance will love this new series that is filled with fun, romance and wild spirited boys. I will definitely be carrying on with the series, the next book features Nick the more secretive of the brothers and I can’t wait to see what West has in store for his story.

    1. YES CARRIE! I couldn't agree more, I love my series but a good standalone with a closed ending is perfect for an enjoyable read, plus it's good to read a romances and get away from all those epic fantasy books once in a while.
Thanks so much Carrie, I hope you enjoy it!!
