Blurb:
London. Girls are disappearing. They've all got one thing in common; they just don't know it yet...

Sixteen-year-old Lily was meant to be next, but she's saved by a stranger: a half-human boy with gold-flecked eyes. Regan is from an unseen world hidden within our own, where legendary creatures hide in plain sight. But now both worlds are under threat, and Lily and Regan must race to find the girls, and save their divided city.

A Must for fans of The Mortal Instruments?
I don't think so.

There were only 2 reasons I bought this book: the pretty cover and the reference to TMI. DO NOT fall for the tagline!

This book in no way, shape or form relates to The Mortal Instruments. The only reason I can think of for this rather bold assumption is Regan the main character has tattoos?! Yes extremely far-fetched. I was prepared for heroes in leather, runes, witches, warlocks, vampires.. anything! And yet I was 75% done thinking WTF?

The plotline has no substance it's mainly a girl following around a boy and then discovering she has special blood and then it’s over. This book felt like a failed attempt of City of Bones with a not so clever title change and running around London discovering weird creatures. It lacked basic descriptive writing as I still don’t know what many characters even looked like, as well as romance there wasn’t a depth to anything. I was sure the book was just going to be a slow read but I was left disappointed in waiting for any sort of adventure/romance/action to kick in.

Sadly I didn’t enjoy this book it was basically a 1 star for me but seems as I finished I gave it a 2.
