Blurb:
The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…

It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.

But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.

Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.

Book 1 in the new adult paranormal TITAN series, spin-off to the best selling COVENANT series.

MAJOR PROBLEM: You see that cover ^ Take a look at mine.. How dare I not get one with Seth on? I hate the UK. Minor rant over on to the review.

Hold on to your ovaries ladies, they’re about to combust!
Seth is back in a fresh new series all about Sethie and I am soo happy! I had a little bit of a love/hate relationship with him in the Covenant series but in the end I was sad it was over and I wanted more.

Seth is still obligated to hunt down the enemies of Olympus and those who sided with Ares. Apollo appears from nowhere as always and tells Seth that the Titans have escaped and are planning revenge against the Gods. Seth is than tasked to protect Apollo’s daughter who thinks she’s human but she's much much more. I was so intrigued by this because for those of you who are familiar with Seth, you just know playing the dutiful bodyguard will not go down well.

Josie is so oblivious to the outside world, she doesn’t even know that Pure/half bloods or daimons exist. Josie has been alienated all her life and didn’t have a single friend throughout her childhood. Her mum is a diagnosed Schizophrenic because she has these delusions that a certain ‘heavenly god’ once visited her. I liked Josie so much in this as she was the complete opposite of Alex, I sort of lost my patience with Alex she was a little childish. Josie obviously didn’t know anything about Seth or his past so she was able to speak to him however she wanted which was great to read, Seth needed a little burst to his ego!

The romance was pretty slow but it made room for it to feel realistic and even when feeling's arose it wasn't rushed and over. It built until you became obsessed and are practically screaming at the characters, I just loved all the angst and tension plus the witty remarks was an added bonus. P.s there is a reason the author put a warning at the beginning of the book, she does not disappoint! It was consuming and so HOT! We also get a visit from a few old character’s, I won’t spoil who but you will have no doubt loved the pair in the Covenant series. The is no major cliffhanger, JLA might be saving that for book 2 ahhh but it’s definitely a good read!

I would have loved to give this book 5 stars but it just got a little repetitive with the comparisons to the previous series and the many mentions of Alex who doesn’t appear in the book but bares the similarities to Josie are they are from the same lineage. I’m hoping this is only because it’s the first book and it’s meant as a little catch up to old or new readers and that the second will be a smoking hot mess just waiting to be devoured. Also on my JLA rating scale 5 stars is for The Dark Elements and even though I’m now a big Seth fan now, there is no comparison to the Crown Prince of Hell ROTH <3

  3. Loved this review, especially the yawn note above the book! I desperately need this book badly. You've gotten me on a Seth-hype ;)
JLA is the queen of smoking-hot guys, especially smoking-hot events. Just take any male lead in her books. Let it be Aiden, Seth, Daemon, Jax, or ROTH. (TEAM ROTH TEAM ROTH TEAM ROTH!!! If Layla doesn't get him, I'm taking him for myself)

    2. What!!! Cody, you don't know who Daemon is? He was my first JLA love!!! You should check out her Lux Series, first book being Obsidian! Daemon rivals Roth! He is the epitome of hot bad boys. I don't read it much for the other characters, just Daemon :) If you're interested in further fuelling the Bad-Boy Syndrome, here's the goodreads link: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12578077-obsidian
