Blurb:
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

WELL JLA DIDN’T WASTE ANYTIME KILLING PEOPLE OFF

So after the devastating cliffhanger that was Kat being taken by Daedalus in Opal it was time for Origin and let me tell you this book is SO much better!! Not only do we get badass Daemon back now determined to rescue Kat but we also get Daemon’s POV YAY! Seriously getting into this boys head was amazing, you get to experience all of his gushy thoughts and feelings first hand and if possible, fall more in love with him.

Daemon is determined to find Katy and will do anything to get her back; this book completely took it up a notch when it came to the action! I can’t go into too many details, as I really don’t want to spoil the book for any first time readers because this really does answer so many questions in the Lux series and you should have your own mind blown and no second hand spoilers. Also the title Origin actually has some meaning like the others, I was sure it was just going to be about typical Luxen or even Arum Origins but no this title is much more important ;)

We also gain a brand new character Archer and oh my god is he dreamy and dangerous, I am seriously hoping for a cheeky spinoff book. He also maybe gains a love interest to one of my favourite characters? Maybe? Oh I do hope so, I’m sure one of friends will tell me, come on Opposition!

This book also brings about past feelings for Beth and Dawson because now that Katy is with Daedalus we get to witness first hand the sadistic lengths they will go to ‘in the name of science’. Luc is also back wahoo, and we find out just what the hell he is finally!!

For me this book was the best so far with it’s fast paced plot, constant drama and action, it was always entertaining with so many plot twists, devastating loses and witty remarks that you will not be able to put down!

And I don't care what anyone says what I have just read was definitely a cliff-hanger maybe not as bad as Opal but seriously shocking, I can't believe it!

Yet again Dee brought all the fun and by far the most memorable moment, oh how I love her:

“He can read your mind without even knowing."
Dee's face went from pale to bright cherry. "Oh God."

"What?"

She smacked her hands over her face. "Well, the whole time we were downstairs, I was picturing him naked.”

  1. YES. My love for Daemon skyrocketed after this. And I agree with you, Archer is also quite swoon-worthy :) Honestly, it's impossible for JLA to write about guys anything less. Luc definitely has some serious power, and I'm very glad he's on their side, and not Daedalus. That cliff hanger was terrible, wasn't it? Blew my mind (and probably the rest of the world, haha) away!

I seen so many comments on Goodreads like 'no cliffhanger' and I'm like really? because I'm pretty devastated and a little lost by it hahaa <3

  3. I remember reading Opal and feeling like my heart was ripped out of my chest at the end. I miss this series. It’s just so amazing. Ohhhhhhh Daemon. The perspectives from Daemon are so great. I loved the transition of their relationship from the beginning of Obsidian to the final book. I’m excited for you to finish the series. Only good things are coming your way.

Have you heard about Oblivion? It’s the companion novel coming out (Dec 2015) in Daemon’s POV. EEEP!
