Cover Reveal: The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson

The Beauty of Darkness cover is finally here...

ARE YOU GUY'S READY?

Lia and Rafe have escaped Venda and the path before them is winding and dangerous - what will happen now? This third and final book in The Remnant Chronicles is not to be missed..

Bestselling author Mary E. Pearson's combination of intrigue, suspense, romance and action make this a riveting page turner for teens.

I can't decide if I'm excited or not for this.

I was practically the biggest fan of The Kiss of Deception, I adored the characters, the world, the plot and even the love triangle- Rafe was my world <3. However once I start The Heart of Betrayal, I was quickly sucked into the drama, 'court' politics, deception and mystery but it wasn't until around the half way mark that things started to change....

Yes, that's right. I somehow changed my ship. It's not that I don't love Rafe anymore, I still do it's just The Heart of Betrayal seemed to be Kaden's book and I fell for him hook, line and sinker. I won't discuss HoB in any more detail for those of you who haven't read it but all in all, I really enjoyed the book.

But, being the obsessive fangirl that I am, basically all of my reads are discussed at length with my fellow bloggers and it wasn't until Me and Olivia for FictObsess had 'The rant of all rants' that I realised, 'Whoa, I didn't enjoy this at all' - this can be summed up with one word Lia. I had major issues with Lia and her behaviour and the book just continued to break my heart </3, everyone seemed to be in love with prophecy princess.

That being said, I will obviously read The Beauty of Darkness as I am a big fan of the series and I'm hoping Pearson will throw in some surprises and plot twists to help me get back on board. I'm also hoping BoD will help clear up the issues I'm obviously having with my ship, my heart is so confused!

This is another gorgeous cover and I can't wait to add it to my collection!
Even though they won't really match *sigh*
it screams badass.

It's released August 2nd 2016, so get this on your TBR shelves now..

Intrigue abounds in this hotly anticipated sequel to The Kiss of Deception!

Held captive in the barbarian kingdom of Venda, Lia and Rafe have little chance of escape. Desperate to save her life, Lia's erstwhile assassin, Kaden, has told the Vendan Komizar that she has the gift, and the Komizar's interest in Lia is greater than anyone could have foreseen.

Meanwhile, nothing is straightforward: there's Rafe, who lied to Lia, but has sacrificed his freedom to protect her; Kaden, who meant to assassinate her but has now saved her life; and the Vendans, whom Lia always believed to be barbarians. Now that she lives amongst them, however, she realizes that may be far from the truth. Wrestling with her upbringing, her gift, and her sense of self, Lia must make powerful choices that will affect her country... and her own destiny.
